My Day

Here's what I did today: Woke up at 10 a.m.;had breakfast; got more flyers out for Samapalooza and can say that three musicians are committed to play so far; went to The Bar Bar to fix their CD player and dealt with the guys that own the place (the less said about that, the better); went out with friends and did the town (it's actually the first time in a long time I've been out in awhile and it was fun); and I've added to the Blogroll "Child Of Television". I would have actually added it sooner, but I've been busy. The creator of the page, Tony Figeroa sent me an email with the header "Check out 'Child Of Television' " and the link. Nothing more. I'd known about it for days and wanted to add it sooner. Well, now it's here and you can check it out for yourself. I like it myself.

I like Tony Figueroa's blog (the only reason I link to it on ours), but it seems as though he's been emailing half the blogs on the internet looking for links. Is this a common occurrence in the blogosphere, sam, as far as you know?

As far as I know Tom, no. I thought I was the only one on this. I'm going to be honest on this. If I'd had known that Tom had been sending out blind emails to check his site out, I doubt I'd have added him too soon to the blogroll. However, since I like what I've read so far, I'll keep it there for the time being. Honestly, I don't want to sound like the voice of God here, and I don't want to say what you should and shouldn't read. So, I'll leave it up to YOU, dear reader. Check it out for yourself.

As for Tony, it actually took me a second to figure out that the eail came from him (tdfig@aol.com) and I sent him an email to let him know it. At least you asked, Tom. So, I'm saying this publicly, for all the other bloggers out there. Please, Tony. The next time you send out an email to someone asking to link to your blog, please send a reason why they should link. That's all I ask. Thanks.

I got Tony's email shortly after I added a GMail account to my user profile. At the time I thought he had sent it to me because of the similarity in titles between his blog "Child of Television" and my recently started "I Am A Child of Television". I emailed him about it - I thought I was being original when I came up with the name and I had never heard of Tony Figueroa or his blog - and apologised. Now I'm beginning to wonder what's going on. It's still a good blog though.
