Only In Georgia

ATLANTA (AP) - Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue asked the state's schools to take two "early snow days" and cancel classes Monday and Tuesday to help conserve gasoline as Hurricane Rita threatens the nation's fuel supply line.

No other word on if any other states have this planned. I took calls a the radio station when I mentioned this on the air when it broke and folks were P.O.'ed. Whether it was the right thing to do or not, it's caught everyone off guard here. All I know is that for the cost of minimum wage at 5.15 an hour, it would take an eight hour work day to fill the tank of my Escort. It's all too much...
