Some Hot AIr

Here's a pre-Thanksgiving treat. If your around my age, you may remember for a long time that there was a Linus the Lionhearted balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade for years, even though the show stopped running in the late Sixties. Here's the introduction of the balloon, which where interjected into the show from 1964. Linus was a interesting cartoon as it featured the cast from the Post cereal boxes as the stars of the show, including Linus from Crispy Critters, mailman Loveable Truly from Alpha Bits and the one and only Sugar Bear, with stars Sheldon Leonard and Carl Reiner voicing characters. These days with television looking for more and more product placement to make a quick buck, I'm not surprised this crew hasn't made it back on the air.
